It's unthinkable to imagine what a child experiences during its last gasps for breath in a sweltering car sitting over hot asphalt. Will they be happy knowing that the guardian of their lives will have a really good excuse when the police and the media show up? Is it our fast-paced lives with too much coffee, too little time, and not enough pay that can excuse the inexcusable? This is loathsome, aberrant, and socially dysfunctional behavior. Just the thought of those last few seconds of life draining out of that child's eyes is just too much to bear...too much to comprehend. They are your children. Your trusts. And an extension of who you are. And they should never leave your sight when you are with them. Ever!
